PCS Joins Dover and Merges with Ferguson Beauregard
Dover Corporation acquired PCS effective April 25, 2012. PCS will join the Norris Production Solutions (NPS) family of companies within the Dover Energy segment.
As PCS joins NPS, it will merge with Ferguson Beauregard, owned by Dover
Corporation since 1988. The integration of PCS and FB will occur over the coming
months. For the time being, both companies will be maintaining business as usual.

The Solution
An Integrated Solution From:
Ferguson Beauregard launched a joint engineering effort with our sister companies; Blackmer and Neptune, part of Dover's Pump Solutions Group – and is the ultimate answer to unreliable chemical-injection systems that do not deliver the desired results.
The iChem is a solar-powered chemical-injection system that delivers consistent, accurate chemical-injection rates for wells with operating pressures up to 1,200 psi.
The game-changing iChem has been developed to deliver:
- Accurate and consistent Injection Rates: The reliability of iChem's dosing rate saves chemicals (no need for over-dosing "just in case"). Injection rates, which are easily adjusted from 0-45 gallons per day, result in better well yields.
- Elimination of Chemical Leaks: The iChem's pump features a seal-less design that utilizes diaphragm technology with no O-rings on the wet end, allowing for a wide range of chemical compatibility with reduced maintenance and downtime.
- Turnkey Controls with Mobile Updates: A user-friendly digital controller with numeric keypad and LCD display results in simple, yet precise calibration. Performance data can be delivered via text message to your mobile device.
- Reduced Operator Time At Well Sites: With no need to adjust or replace the pump packing, operators can achieve maximum pump visibility and real-time monitoring via the Internet with minimum on-site time required.
- These features allow the iChem to ultimately offer a wide range of cost-saving operator benefits, including enhanced protection against chemical leaks, decreased maintenance time and costs, and ultra-reliable dosing rates.

Sustainability
Ferguson Beauregard's maintains a high respect for the environment, as well as the regulations that are designed to protect it. With an ever-increasing industry-wide appreciation for minimizing environmental impact, Ferguson Beauregard helped drive the developement of the iChem Solar Chemical Injection System. The iChem minimizes environmental impact through:
- Extremely low energy draw powered by the sun
- No atmospheric gas emissions
- No chemical leaks
- Reduced chemical consumption
- Reduced technician trips to the well site
All of these factors combine to make the iChem a Smart Energy® Solution, which can aid oil-and-gas producers in their quest to gain a competitive business advantage.

The Pump
The iChem Solar Chemical Injection System features diaphragm-pump technology from Neptune™ Chemical Pump Company, which has been setting the standard in industrial chemical dosing for many years. The Neptune Diaphragm Metering Pump in the iChem system has fewer moving parts and no dynamic seals, ensuring more consistent dosing and ease of maintenance.
The pump's design completely separates the chemical side from the oil side and is hydraulically balanced, which reduces stress and increases pump life. On the oil side, there are no O-rings in the pressurizing piston sleeve, resulting in no wear on the piston rod. The iChem pump also features a stainless-steel head and check valves with a PTFE (Teflon®)-coated diaphragm that protects the pump against corrosion.

The Controller
The easy-to-configure iChem controller allows well-site operators to maximize well visibility and control well operations in real-time from a mobile device. Precise digital controls – which replace unreliable thumbwheels or speed knobs – ensure accuracy and allow the controller to send instant text messages and updates directly to the operator's phone. This capability saves time and money by greatly reducing the number of required "check-in" well visits.
The reliable operation of the iChem controller also eliminates the flow inconsistencies that can significantly affect well production. With the iChem controller, operators can be certain that their wells are injecting precise chemical doses without wide fluctuations in flow rates. Consistent injection rates also eliminate the over-delivery that can lead to component corrosion and the under-delivery that can hamper well output.
